Cardi B Says Vybz Kartel Is Her Favorite Artist Of All Time

No it’s not Offset, Cardi B calls Vybz Kartel her favorite artist of all time.

Offset shouldn’t be jealous because he gets to sleep next to her. It’s no secret that Cardi B is a huge dancehall fan and Vybz Kartel represents the pinnacle of the genre so it’s no surprise either that he is her favorite artist. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper was in Jamaica last week to shoot a music video for a song with Rvssian and reggaeton artist Ozuna. There are already rumors of a collaboration with Vybz Kartel in the works and that was likely orchestrated by Rvssian.

Cardi B posted a screenshot of a post Vybz Kartel made on Instagram last month giving her a big shoutout. “I can cry @vybzkartel is my favorite artist of all time Me and my friends teenagehood was all about dancing to @vybzkartel #FreeVybz,” she wrote. Bardi also regularly post videos of herself vibing Vybz Kartel songs.

Cardi B is the biggest success story in hip hop this year thanks to her breakout hit single “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).” The song peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the second woman in history to top the chart with a solo record. The first female artist to achieve that success was Lauryn Hill in 1998. The former Love and Hip Hop New York star is currently working on her debut album.

Vybz Kartel continues to make his mark on dancehall six years after his incarceration. Over the last two months alone, he has released enough music to make two albums and almost all of his new singles have been hits in the dancehall space. Kartel is currently awaiting his appeal trial in February next year and he is also working on an upcoming project, due early next year.

I can cry ? @vybzkartel is my favorite artist of all time .Me and my friends teenagehood was all about dancing to @vybzkartel !!! #FreeVybz @hennessycarolina @hoodcelebrityy @lovelyyliliam

Looks Like Cardi B and Beyonce Have A Collaboration Coming

Looks like Cardi B snag another high profile collaboration with Beyonce.

There is no doubt that Cardi B has been having a phenomenal year in hip hop thanks to her breakout hit single “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).” The song has been certified platinum and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three weeks. That resume is now paying off big for the Bronx rapper who might just score the collaboration of a lifetime.

Per her engineer, Ashby, Cardi B and Beyonce have a new collaboration and it seems like its a done deal and verses have already recorded because he posted a snippet on Instagram today. All he posted was a photo from the song file on his monitor that he was playing and you can see the writings “Cardi B n Beyonce Demo Wet.” He captioned the pic “Wow this feature is big.” While he didn’t give any additional details about the collaboration, what he posted was enough to get both Cardi B and Beyonce fans excited.

The two stars met for the first time at this year’s Made in America festival in Philadelphia. They even posed for a photo and Cardi posted in on her Instagram. “I mean, I’m surprised Beyonce liked me, ahh! I met Beyonce!” she said in an interview with the AP. The former Love and Hip Hop New York star is currently working on her debut album, due later this year. It will be dope if he gets Beyonce as a guest feature on the album.

While she hasn’t given a release date for the album, Cardi Be previously said in an interview that it could be here in November although her original plan was to drop it in October. She also previewed a song from the upcoming project in a club last week and it sounds like fire. Cardi previously worked with the likes of Offset and Kodak Black.

Nicki Minaj Hints Label Blocking Song With Lil Uzi Vert

Nicki Minaj hinted that label is likely the reason why her song with Lil Uzi Vert is not yet released.

Last month, the Young money emcee told her fans on Twitter that she wants to work with one of the hottest young rappers out now, Lil Uzi Vert. One of her fans, Imamtay, asked her about the song last night and she responded saying that it’s been done but someone other than Uzi decides to keep it in the safe. The song is a remix of “The Way Life Goes.”

“[Nicki Minaj] what about Lil uzi vert’s song “The Way Life Goes” that u suppose to be remixing?” the fan asked, to which Minaj responded saying, “Been done!!! but apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now. It’s not me & it’s not Uzi tho. Tea anyone?” While she didn’t specify who is holding the single back, fans are already concluding that label heads are the likely culprit since both artists are signed to major labels.

On another note, Nicki Minaj is getting some support from rap legend LL Cool J who offered her some word of encouragement. “Keep doing your thing. A career is a marathon full of hills valleys twists and turns. You’re just getting started the best is yet to come,” LL tweeted.

Been done!!! but apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now. It's not me & it's not Uzi tho. Tea anyone? https://t.co/aquzp0YiiX

Lil Uzi Vert released “The Way Life Goes” as the second single off his new album Luv Is Rage 2. The song has been doing very well and is currently at No. 57 on Billboard Hot 100 chart and climbing. Perhaps his label wants to see how far the original song will go before releasing the remix, which makes sense because with Nicki Minaj on the remix it will likely be bigger than the original. This is the first time that Minaj and Lil Uzi Vert are working together.

Nicki Minaj is currently working on her long-awaited fourth studio album and preparing for her tour next year. She hinted on IG this week that she has some surprises coming soon.

Post Malone Celebrates Billboard No. 1 By Smashing Guitar

Post Malone and 21 Savage new single “Rockstar” is now No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The song is so big that it’s expected to return to the top of the chart next week and possibly the week after next. “Rockstar” ended Cardi B‘s reign on top of the Billboard Hot 100 with her mega hit single “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).” Post Malone celebrated the success of the single by smashing his guitar on stage while performing said track on tour. This is the first number one song for Post and 21 Savage and both of them are basking in the glory.

It’s true, hip hop is now the number one genre of music in the world and in case you have any doubt, just look at the top five songs on the chart. The top three songs are rap singles, “Rockstar,” “Bodak Yellow,” and Logic’s “1-800-273-8255.” This also marks the fifth rap single this year to top the Hot 100 chart, an achievement that is usually dominated by pop songs. So far this year we’ve seen Migos topping the chart with “Bad and Boujee” topping the chart at the start of the year and Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE” also gracing the top spot. DJ Khaled also climb to the top with his single “I’m The One.” Now Cardi B and Post Malone are battling for the top of the chart.

Post Malone was performing for his fans in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Wednesday night when he got in the rockstar mode and smash his guitar. He then tried to ordered a hundred more guitars to smash but seems they would only sell him 10. “Help @Postmates I wanna order 100 guitars to smash on tour but it’s only letting me order 10!” he wrote on Twitter. Posty once said that he likes to break stuff and this song is the perfect opportunity for him to break some guitars.

Nicki Minaj Says She Is Why Female Rappers Are Popping Again

Nicki Minaj accomplishments in hip hop over the last decade cannot go unnoticed, but is she the reason why female rappers are popping again.

Since breaking onto the rap scene in 2009, Nicki Minaj has dominated female rap and even won over some of the big boys in the game with whom she has collaborated with over the years including JAY-Z, Eminem, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne. At one point, she was the most heavily featured artist in the game, with every rapper on the planet wanting a verse from her. That demand for her service lead her to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 chart and now she is the female artist with the most entries on that chart in history after surpassing the great Aretha Franklin.

Achievements like those would take a lot of artists their entire career to get, but it took her a little less than a decade after Lil Wayne took a chance with her in the late 2000s after watching her rap on a DVD. During her recently cover story in XXL, Nicki Minaj opened up about her impact on hip hop culture over the years and what she said a lot of her fans will agree with her. She is among several other rappers featured on the Magazine’s 20th anniversary issue.

“My role in hip-hop has been super unique because when my first album came out, there had been so much time where there wasn’t a female rap album out that went platinum,” she said. “There wasn’t a big female rap presence right before I got in. So, my role was reintroducing the female rapper to pop culture. I don’t think we got that much credit. I think female rappers have always been dope and influential, but I think I sort of came in at a time where big business was paying attention, so I was able to capitalize off of a lot of deals and business ventures.”

Nicki Minaj is currently working on her new album which she hope will spawn her first Billboard Hot 100 number one hit and perhaps win her that long overdue Grammy award. Some fans will see her statement as a shot at Cardi B, but clearly she is speaking on female rap in general.

Cardi B Shakes Her Ass-ets To Celebrate Her 25th Birthday

Watch Cardi B shaking her ass-ets while celebrating her 25th birthday on Wednesday (October 11).

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper posted a video on Instagram at midnight on Tuesday night to mark the beginning of her birthday celebration. The one-minute clip shows her shaking her ample rear while her friend yelled in the background, “If it’s your birthday make some noise.” Cardi B has a lot to be celebrating right now not just her 25th birthday. She has the number one song on the planet and she just wrapped up a well-received performance at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Cardi B’s boyfriend Offset of Migos is throwing a party in her honor sometime this week and also will be presenting her with some expensive gifts. “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” is now in its third week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the longest running female solo rapper at the top of the chart in history. Bardi also picked up three awards at last night’s BET Hip Hop Awards for Best New Artist, Hustler of the Year, and Single of the Year, which is all the more accolades for her to celebrate, she deserves all the glory she is getting now.

Cardi B is currently working on her new album, due early next year. She is also prepping her fans for her follow-up hit to “Bodak Yellow.” Last week she previewed a new single on Instagram that sounds fire, but she has decided yet if that will be her next solo single. Interestingly, Nicki Minaj is also working on her new album and with a soft rivalry going on between these two ladies, this should make for an interesting comparison when both projects arrive. Neither has given any release dates or titles for their respective projects, but we haven’t had a female rap album in a while so both projects are well overdue.

Shmood !!!!

Cardi B Wins Best New Artist At 2017 BET Hip Hip Awards

Cardi B won the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards for Best New Artist.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper has been having a great year and is currently sitting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the last two weeks. The former Love and Hip Hop New York stat attended the award ceremony at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami with her boyfriend Offset from rap group Migos. During her acceptance speech, she thanked her fans, her family, her label Atlantic and Offset for supporting her.

Cardi B got a taste of hip hop history last month when she became the first female since Lauryn Hill to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with a solo single. “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” has been one of the hottest rap songs on the planet this year and Cardi B is already under pressure to prove that she is not a one hit wonder. Rap fans are already weighing in on her BET Hip Hop Awards win and they are divided. Of course you have the usual critics and then you have some who are loyal supporters, but what are those in the middle saying?

“Why is everybody on Cardi B’s nuts?” one fan wrote. “One song and she’s the best new artist? LOL. Everyone’s so happy for her just cus she’s a female. I’ve never heard any new male artist get the love she’s gotten.”

“I agree she didn’t deserve it but everybody is naming all these “rappers” that should have won but they’re just as garbage as she is so it really doesn’t matter,” another said.

Earlier this week, Cardi B teases a new single on her IG account and it sounds like it’s a worthy follow-up to “Bodak Yellow.” “Used to dance in the club right across from my school / I said dance, not fuck, don’t get it confused / Had to set the record straight, ’cause bitches love to assume,” she raps.

Cardi B Teases Her Next Hit Song On Instagram

Cardi B is already working on her next big hit song which she hopes will be as big or bigger than “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).”

The Queens emcee got a piece of music history this week when she became only the second female rapper in history to have a solo Billboard Hot 100 number one song. Seems she has already celebrated the occasion and is working on her next big hit. Cardi B posted a clip on Instagram last night of herself dropping some bars from what will form her next single from her upcoming album.

This song finds Cardi B reflecting on her come up in the game from her stripper days to having the biggest song on the planet. “Used to dance in the club right across from my school / I said dance, not fuck, don’t get it confused / Had to set the record straight, ’cause bitches love to assume,” she raps. She later drop some more bars in what sounds like the hook “Get money, go hard, muthafu**in’ right / Never been a fraud in my muthafu**in’ life.”

Cardi B has been getting a lot of love this week for her achievement but most importantly for being real and humble. Success comes with haters and she also get some of that from Harlem rapper Azealia Banks who called her a “poor man’s Nicki Minaj.”

#cardib got new music on the way. Sounding ??? or ?????

‘Rockstar’ Post Malone Stage Dive And No One Caught Him

Fans didn’t treat Post Malone like the rockstar that he is when he stage dived at his concert over the weekend because no one caught him.

Fortunately for the “Rockstar” rapper he didn’t break any bones and continued rapping while on the floor. In the video clip below, you can see Post Malone on stage turning up in St. Louis. He then ran and stage dived into the crowd but everyone moved, absolutely no one didn’t even attempted to catch him. It was one of that moment where all you can do is say ouch and then laugh after you realize that he is okay.

Malone tweeted about it on Sunday while making fun of himself saying that he wish he had Lil Uzi Vert’s body. “Felt like jack black in school of rock tonight when i staged dived and nobody caught my fat as. wish i had lil uzi body,” he wrote. Someone who was close to the front row captured the whole thing on camera. Post Malone is currently having the time of his life with his new single “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage climbed to number two on Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. He also broke the single week Apple Music streaming record.

Perhaps this fan who was video the whole thing just got himself one of those new iPhone X with glass casing and did not want to test how drop proof it is.

Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi Has A Baby On The Way

One-half of Rae Sremmurd, Slim Jxmmi, has confirmed that he is about to be a father.

The Mississippi MC made the announcement on Twitter over the weekend. “I have a child on the way,” Jxmmi tweeted. One fan trolled him using an old photo of the rapper wearing a T-Shirt with the message, “I Wear Condoms.” Seems like he wasn’t taking his own advice and now he will likely pay child support for 18 years.

Rae Sremmurd is currently working on their new album SremmLife 3, due later this year. There were some talks over the summer that the group is splitting up, but Slim Jxmmi shot down those rumors recently when he told Billboard that it’s “fake news.” His brother Swae Lee has one of the biggest singles in the world right now “Unforgettable” with French Montana. The song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has since been certified double platinum.

The pair says that currently have over two dozen songs already recorded for the upcoming album. They are currently going through the process of narrowing down the songs for the project. They confirmed that they want to have the album ready within the next three months, which should be by the end of the year.

Cardi B Gets First Solo Billboard No. 1 Song Since Lauryn Hill As A Female Rapper

Cardi B creates hip hop history this week when she becomes the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill to score a solo Billboard number one single.

Cardi’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” is currently No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 and she is dancing all the way to the bank because the track is the number one seller on digital media over the past week. Lauryn Hill scored a Billboard Hot 100 number one single as a solo act with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” on November 14, 1998. The song lead the chart for two weeks and helped cemented Hill as one of the greatest emcees of all time.

Other female rappers have achieved number one singles since Hill, but not as a solo artist. In 2001, Lil Kim earned a number one hit as part of the single “Lady Marmalade” with Mya, Pink, and Christina Aguilera. Female rapper Shawnna gets a number one in 2003 by being a guest on Ludacris hit single “Stand Up.” Iggy Azalea gets her first number one single when “Fancy” topped the chart in 2014, but she had help from Charli XCX. That track topped the chart for seven consecutive weeks. Nicki Minaj has yet to score her first Billboard Hot 100 number one single. She has several top ten songs and is the female artists with the most entries to the chart in history.

Cardi B also creates history by becoming the first female rapper to top the chart with their debut single. While Cardi B has released mixtapes before “Bodak Yellow” becomes a mega hit, that was the first time she ever scored a Billboard hit.

Atlantic Records threw a grand party for Cardi B to celebrate the occasion and presented her with her plaque. “Thank you everybody I am very happy and I am very honored,” she said. “Especially since my family is here you know like at first I kept asking and I keep coming to the label like why is my sh*t not playing on the radio I do not understand whats going on and then they just be like you gotta keep working hard to get the record that big record. I said am going to do it am going to give you that record.”

Nicki Minaj congratulate Cardi on her success on Twitter saying, “Congratulations to a fellow NEW YAWKA on a RECORD BREAKING achievement. Bardi, this is the only thing that matters!!! Enjoy it??? @iamcardib”

Nicki Minaj Thirst Trap On Instagram As Cardi B Move To No. 1

Nicki Minaj giving us some thirst trap on Instagram while Cardi B moves to No. 1 on Billboard.

The Young Money rapper is not about to let Cardi B have all the fun on IG, so yesterday she posted a steamy photo of her ample cleavage on the Gram. The photo received almost a million likes and thousands of comments. Not surprisingly, a lot of her fans are asking where is the new album. But she already gave an update on the project, telling her fans that it will be epic.

“While we love getting boobie pics we want that album more so give us that album and stop playing around,” one fan wrote. Nicki Minaj is just as famous for her spitfire flow as for her ass-ets. She has been the leading female in hip hop over the past decade, but for the past two to three years she has been relatively quiet despite scoring a number of Billboard Hot 100 hits. She has been mostly doing guest verses for other artists while she quietly works on her next album, which will be her first since 2014.

Some hip hop fans are trolling her following Cardi B No. 1 record “Bodak Yellow.” The New York rapper created history by becoming the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill to score a number one record as a lead artist. Nicki Minaj has yet to score a number one single as a lead artist. In 2014, she scored a number two single with “Anaconda” and in 2011 she scored a number three single with “Super Bass.” Her 2012 hit “Starships” peaked at number five on the Hot 100 chart. Nevertheless, Nicki holds the record for the female with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries ever. Seems there is now a battle of two banging female emcees, lets see how this one will play out.

Money Moves This How Cardi B Celebrates Her Billboard No. 1 Single

“I don’t dance now I make money moves.” Cardi B is singing all the way to the bank after her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” reached No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Last week, Dancehallhiphop.com reported that Cardi B will overthrow Taylor Swift for the top spot on Billboard this week after “Bodak Yellow” shows strong sales over the past week. The former Love and Hip Hop New York star got the news from last week and posted a video of herself dancing. That was just the beginning of the celebration because her label Atlantic Records threw her a surprise party with some of her family and friends turning up.

I said am going to do it am going to give you that record… And then it was just like when it hits the Billboard, you know I don’t know how this music industry work, but then am like everybody listening to this song. If it’s not on the Billboard then it really doesn’t matter.”

Atlantic Records reps said that Cardi B is one of the hardest working rappers in the business. She was also presented with her plagues for the achievement. This week Bardi also created history when she became the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill did it in the 1990s to have a lead number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She did it even before Nicki Minaj who scored No. 2 singles as lead but never reached number one.

“THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU ,I haven’t even showered son with all the running around I loveee you all each and everybody contributed for this .Ya made it happen for me !!!!! The number 1 WAY!!” Cardi B said on IG.

#cardib turning up. Her single "bodak yellow" bout to be #1 on the charts. Is she having the best year out of all the female rappers??

Cardi B Song “Bodak Yellow” To Reach No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100 Next Week

Cardi B song “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” to overthrow Taylor Swift for No. 1 spot on Billboard Hot 100.

Cardi B is having the time of her life as her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” is slated to reach No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100.

Taylor Swift new song “Look What You Made Me Do” is now in its third week at No. 1 on the chart and Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” is now in its second week at No. 2 on the chart. Logic’s viral single “1-800-273-8255” is currently at No. 3, Luis Fonsi mega-hit “Despacito” is at No. 4, and Sam Smith new single “Too Good At Goodbyes” debut at No. 5 on the Hot 100 chart.

Come next week things will likely look a lot different on the top ten singles on the chart as Cardi B is expected to overthrow Taylor Swift for the top spot. According to Charts Data, “Bodak Yellow” was the most streamed single in the US this week with 40.8 million streams. The single also continues to show strong digital sales with 30,272 units sold. “Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” is expected to reach #1 on next week’s Hot 100,” Charts Data wrote on Twitter.

Billboard updates all its charts every Tuesday after compiling streaming, sales, and airplay of songs across all genre of music. “Bodak Yellow” has been climbing the Hot 100 chart for weeks and has been lingering in the top five for a few weeks now. The success prompted a new round of promotion from her label Atlantic Records. The single was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and could reach platinum in a matter of weeks. The last time a female rapper was this dominant on the chart was in 2014 when Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100. In comparison, Nicki Minaj has yet to score her first solo No. 1 single, which means Cardi B could do it before her.

French Montana & Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” Certified Triple Platinum

French Montana and Swae Lee’s mega hit single “Unforgettable” has been certified triple platinum.

The track is one of the biggest singles this summer and has already spent 21 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart peaking at number three. Although the track was unable to overthrow the giants that are “Despacito” and “Wild Thoughts” for the top two spots, it is within it’s own right a classic. “Unforgettable” has been certified three times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

French Montana says that he knew the song was a hit from the first time he heard it played. “As soon as I heard the track, I knew it was a hit,” Montana told TIME. “I sat with it. I chopped it up the way I wanted it to be. I feel like that’s the one record that fits everybody: African vibe, reggae vibe, techno vibe, European vibe. That’s what you call a global hit.”

The Bad Boy rapper released his new album “Jungle Rules” on July 14 with guest appearance from Alkaline, The Weeknd, Future, Max B, Pharrell, Chinx, an Swae Lee on this single “Unforgettable.” What’s next for French Montana, perhaps touring and dropping another big hit like “Unforgettable.”

To be fair to the New York rapper, her breakout single “Bodak Yellow” is currently at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and could very well make it to number one. If that is not winning then what else does she have to do to earn more respect. Some fans are saying that she needs another hit to prove herself. In a post on Instagram, Cardi B let the haters know that she is coming from nothing so that in itself is winning.

“Coming from nothing isn’t winning, doing everything they said I couldn’t because of my stripper past isn’t winning, taking care of my family isn’t winning, reaching the top of the billboard charts when everybody said NO isn’t winning?” she wrote. “If this ain’t winning sis you tell me what is!! I know you must be so busy and overbooked that finding the time to give me “advice” was hard!! But I talk to Christ and my mother everyday and I don’t need it!!”

Some folks then responded saying that being busy doesn’t mean that your winning, while others think that she has to prove that she is not another one-hit wonder. Are some fans being too critical of Cardi B and should give her props where its due, in particular for scoring one of the biggest rap songs this year.

Coming from nothing isn't winning, doing everything they said I couldn't because of my stripper past isn't winning, taking care of my family isn't winning, reaching the top of the billboard charts when everybody said NO isn't winning??? If this ain't winning sis you tell me what is!! I know you must be so busy and overbooked that finding the time to give me "advice" was hard!! But I talk to Christ and my mother everyday and I don't need it!!

Lil Uzi Vert & The Weeknd Stars In “XO Tour Llif3″ Video

Lil Uzi Vert drop the long awaited video for his mega hit “XO Tour Llif3” starring The Weeknd.

Uzi has been having a great year and this song is perhaps his biggest hit to date. The rapper recorded the single while he was on tour with The Weeknd for the European leg of his “Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour.” The four-minute cut was produced by Off-White Films and directed by Virgil Abloh. The gory video gives fans a graphic glimpse what life is like behind the scenes while the Philly rapper was touring with the XO leader.

In one scene Lil Uzi Vert walks through the streets wearing a glittering shirt and vest while Arabic letters floats at the bottom of the screen. In another scene you can see dead bodies in a bathtub with blood everywhere. Pretty sure that didn’t happen on tour, but it compliments the gory theme. “XO Tour Llif3” is featured on Uzi’s debut album Luv Is Rage 2 released last month. The single has since been certified double-platinum and reached the top ten on Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album also debut at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart this week after selling 135,000 copies including streaming equivalent units in the first week.

“The Race” Rapper Tay-K On Trial For Murder And Has Hottest Song Out

Teenage rap sensation Tay-K is on trial for murder as an adult and he has one of the hottest rap songs out “The Race.”

The controversial 17-year-old rapper, whose real name is Taymor McIntyre, is currently in jail and is charged with capital murder. On Wednesday, he was in court for a hearing and a judge ruled that he will be tried as an adult. His trial has been delayed reportedly due to lack of enough evidence and his lawyer, James McMillan, says that he is confident that his client will be exonerated.

Tay-K got into some legal trouble last year when 21-year-old Ethan Walker was killed during a home invasion in Mansfield, Texas. The young rapper was arrested and charged with the murder and was placed on house arrest, but he later cut loose his ankle monitor and went on the run, thus becoming a fugitive. As if that wasn’t enough, while on the run he became a suspect in another murder case and as well as an assault case involving a 65-year-old man. He was captured on June 30th in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

McMillan released a statement to The New York Times reporter Joe Coscarelli who posted it on Twitter. “We just concluded the ‘certification transfer’ hearing for Mr. McIntyre,” the statement reads. “The judge has ruled that his case should [be] moved to the adult court based on his age (and the fact that the juvenile court will lack jurisdiction soon). The judge was very clear to tell Mr. McIntyre on the record that this decision has no bearing whatsoever of his guilt/ innocence in this case. After a full day hearing with numerous officers testifying under oath, officers testified there was no evidence that Mr. McIntyre engaged in any of the violent [acts] or possessed any weapons. Mr McIntyre remains upbeat after this hearing. I believe once all of the evidence is presented, Mr. McIntyre will be exonerated on all of the charges. We look forward to moving ahead.”

Following his most recent incarceration, his single “The Race” was released online and almost overnight became a viral hit. The single peaked at number 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this summer and could climb higher.

Cardi B Responds To Nicki Minaj Alleged Diss On “No Flag”

Cardi B has seemingly taken a subtle jab at Nicki Minaj over an alleged diss on London On Da Track’s new single “No Flag.”

Nicki Minaj once again dominated another guest spot on a single that features the likes of 21 Savage and Migos’ Offset. In her verse, she raps “Lil’ b*tch I heard these labels tryna make another me / Everything you getting little hoe is cause of me / I heard I’m stopping bags, word to Shaggy it wasn’t me.” While the entire Twitter universe thought that she was dissing Cardi B, the Young Money rapper tweeted out yesterday that she wasn’t dissing the “Bodak Yellow” rapper and in fact, her verse was written months ago.

Cardi B sent out a tweet yesterday that seems like it was a light jab at Nicki Minaj or perhaps she was addressing the controversy and not the PinkPrint rapper directly. “I don’t bother with these hoes, Don’t let these hoes BOTHER Me,” she tweeted. The former Love and Hip Hop New York star also took a more direct approach when she let everyone know its going down on sight. “I’m knocking b*tches heads off anytime any place,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.

Cardi’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” has risen to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and if she makes it to number one, she will first Nicki Minaj to a solo number one record on the chart. She is currently the highest charting female rapper since 2014 when Nicki and Iggy Azalea were dominating the charts. Last night, the Brooklyn rapper performed at the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor weighing event in Las Vegas in front a huge crowd. The boxing match is expected to make history tonight regardless of who wins, but so far Mayweather, who is at 39-0 win, is the hot favorite.

I don't bother with these hoes,Don't let these hoes BOTHER Me !??

Lil Uzi Vert Album “Luv Is Rage 2” (Stream & Download)

Lil Uzi Vert new album “Luv Is Rage 2” is now available and you can stream and download it on iTunes/Apple Music.

The highly anticipated project is the follow-up to his last mixtape Luv Is Rage 1.5, which was released a mere six months ago. The first installment in the Luv Is Rage series was released in 2015 and was the launching pad for the Lil Uzi Vert’s career. The 16 track new album will features guest appearances from The Weeknd on the single “Unfazed” and Pharrell Williams on the single “Neon Guts.” Those are the only two guest spots on the album so it pure Uzi you will be getting otherwise.

His collaboration with The Weeknd comes naturally since the two stars developed a bond while touring together on the singer’s “Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour.” Lil Uzi Vert has also released one of the biggest singles of his career while touring called “XO Tour Llif3.” That track will also be on the album and peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Uzi Vert also did a wordplay on 666 with the second single on the album title “444+222.” Over the past few weeks he has come under scrutiny from fans and some of his rap peers for his use of an upside down cross. Outside of that controversy, the album is pretty lit and you should listen to it.

Listen Cardi B “Bodak Yellow (Latin Trap Remix)” Feat. Messiah

Cardi B is popping right now and now this track “Bodak Yellow (Latin Trap Remix)” is about to win her over some new Spanish fans.

The original version of the song “Bodak Yellow” is one of the biggest hits this summer and is expected to climb to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. The song could very well over throw “Despacito” and French Montana and Swae Lee’s “Unforgettable” for the number one or two spot respectively next week. Now that she scored a certified banger for herself, it’s time for the New York rapper to prep herself for the next week going into the fall.

Cardi B serves up a Spanish language version for “Bodak Yellow” which she calls a Latin Trap Remix featuring Messiah and it packs a lot of heat. So far the reviews have been great so only time will tell if that will translate into sales and more chart success for the former stripper. Cardi B has Dominican roots so the move to win over some latin fans is the right move for her. Perhaps she should’ve link up with dancehall hit maker Charly Black for this remix. The original version of the track is a certified club banger on its own and can be found on every hip hop playlist right now across the U.S. For the Latin Trap Remix, Messiah delivered a fiery verse that packed enough heat to get the attention of some latin music celebrities on social media.

Cardi B earned herself a fan base from her appearance on Love and Hip Hop New York, but after years of struggling in the music business she finally earned some respect. Her success doesn’t come without its fair share of critics and she regularly has to go on social media and defends herself from some unfair criticism. The song is worth a listen get it below.

Cardi B breakout single “Bodak Yellow” keeps getting more and more remix treatment.

One of the latest remix for the single is from Y2K who posted the track on his SoundCloud account and it has been getting some attention. This is not an authorized remix so you will not likely to find it on Apple Music and Spotify, but you can stream it on SoundCloud. The original version of the track has been doing very well this summer and climb to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week.

This earned Cardi B the highest charting single by a female rapper since Nicki Minaj in 2014 and if she makes it to number one, she will be the undeniably top female emcee in a while. This track has surely transformed Cardi B’s profile and now industry stakeholders have no choice but to take her serious. Y2K kept most of the lyrics in tact for this remix but add another layer of lyricism to an already popping track. The remix brings a lot of fire take a listen to it below.

Watch Bruno Mars ‘Versace On The Floor’ Video Starring Zendaya

Bruno Mars released another visual from his latest album 24K Magic.

The video for “Versace On The Floor” is out now and Zendaya is the star who is heating things up. The album already scores a massive hit with “That’s What I Like” which serves as the title track and now Bruno Mars and his team are pushing another single that has been getting a lot of airplay. The song has been steadily climbing the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the past few weeks and is now in the top 50.

Singer/actor Zendaya has always been a huge fan of Bruno Mars music so it’s no surprise to see her taking over the starring role in this visual. In the video, Zendaya and Bruno Mars are neighbors with only a wall separating their apartments. She gets dolled up and on her return home she ended up getting serenaded by the singer who was singing the soulful single while playing his piano inside his apartment. She sings along to the lyrics and before you know it, her gown, likely a Versace, hit the floor.

Nicki Minaj Teases New Music With WizKid For Her Album

Nicki Minaj has some new music coming with WizKid that will be featured on her upcoming album.

The YMCMB rapper has been very busy since the start of the year with a number of collaborative efforts and a few solo singles. Nicki Minaj first hinted at the upcoming collaboration with a photo of herself and the star boy singer on IG. Sources inside her circle told DHH that the single will be featured on her upcoming album.

“This is another record that will be featured on the album,” we’re told. Our sources also confirmed that the album is almost ready and will arrive sometime in the fall. “Nicki has been working on this record for a while now but the wait will be worth it, look for it in the fall,” sources said. “She always want to deliver a masterpiece so don’t expect it if it will not be an impressive body of work. All you need to know now is that she is hard at work on this project and will not stop until it’s one hundred percent ready.”

Nicki Minaj is also celebrating her 80th entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart when her new single “You Da Baddest” with Future debut at No. 38 on the chart this week. She currently has three songs on the chart and showing no signs of slowing down. Last year, WizKid was featured on one of the biggest songs on the planet, Drake’s “One Dance” which peaked at number one on the Hot 100 chart. The single also received over a billion streams on Spotify last year alone. Can the African pop singer recreate some of that magic with Nicki Minaj on this new track that they are working on? WizKid collaborated again with Drake this year before doing a major dancehall collaboration with dancehall heavy weight Vybz Kartel.

Nicki Minaj Celebrates 80th Billboard Hot 100 Singles

Nicki Minaj is the queen of the charts and this year she is dominating the Billboard Hot 100 without even dropping an album.

The Young Money emcee celebrates her latest entry to the top chart today on Instagram after “You Da Baddest” with Future debut on the Hot 100 chart at No. 38. She has two more singles on the chart with “Rake It Up” with Yo Gotti being her highest charting currently sitting at No. 26. Her single with Jason Derulo “Swalla” is currently in its 20th week on the Hot 100 chart.

Nicki Minaj always celebrates her win on Instagram letting the other female rappers know that she is still winning. “YDB just became my 80th Billboard Hot 100 entry! 3 songs on the Hot 100 no album out?” She wrote. “My monster voice. Swalla up here 20 weeks later? ? RIU 26 w/no video? (it’s coming in a few more days, no need to send Gotti anymore death threats. Love you!!!!! Let’s toast with some @myxfusions.”

In another post on Instagram, Nicki Minaj teased an upcoming collaboration with WizKid. She posted a photo of herself and the “One Dance” singer on IG. The Trinidadian rapper is currently working on her upcoming album, but so far no word on when it will arrive or the title. Sources told DHH earlier this year that she will drop her next body of work sometime this year, but we are half way in and still, we don’t have any details about the project. On the other hand, it is customary these days for artists to release albums without notice or very little time in between promotion and release date. Nicki Minaj may very well take that route. Additional, she is known to drop her albums later in the year around November and she has been spending a lot of time in the studio these days.

YDB just became my 80th Billboard Hot 100 entry! ???? 3 songs on the Hot 100 no album out? *my monster voice*. Swalla up here 20 weeks later? ? RIU 26 w/no video? ?? (it's coming in a few more days, no need to send Gotti anymore death threats ?????). Love you!!!!! ??? Let's toast with some @myxfusions ??

Sean Paul has had a great year last year and this year is shaping up to have another impressive year.

The dancehall superstar’s hard work in 2016 is paying off because he just nabs his second Teen Choice Award nomination. The single peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and topped the charts in several territories worldwide including Australia, The UK, Finland, Germany, Austria, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, and New Zealand.

The powerful single “Rockabye” tackles the topic of single mothers facing hardship raising their kids. Last year, Sean Paul earned a Teen Choice Award nomination for his number one single with Sia “Cheap Thrills.”

The 2017 Teen Choice Award is set for Sunday, August 13 at the USC’s Galen Center and will be aired live on FOX.
