Release Spotlight

One of our favorite up and coming artists, ero808 has been on a release streak as of late. With a string of releases starting off 2022 on tastemaker labels Jadu Dala and Lowly Palace, the Denver-based singer, songwriter, and producer is back with a fresh release on Lowly Palace with INAU titled, ‘Reincarnate.’

LILO has teamed up with singer songwriter NEVRMIND for the 4th single off his debut album, slated for release in March 2022. His new single ‘POV’ is a beautifully composed indie dance house track that will pull at the heartstrings of listeners all across the world.

Chris Lake & Grimes Drop Hotly Anticipated Collab, “A Drug From God” [LISTEN]

The brand new collaboration from Chris Lake and Grimes aka NPC — “A Drug From God” — has arrived and it’s the life of the party!

Dangerously hypnotic and devastatingly catchy, the track progresses steadily with danceable intentions as the sounds of Chris Lake and Grimes’ new AI girl group collide. NPC intends to “hone the concepts of Art Angels and Miss Anthropocene, finally manifesting the endless characters in Grimes’ head.” Members are infinite in number and can be voted in or out, except for core members such as the baby Warnymph.

Needless to say, “A Drug From God” is as captivating as intended. The intensity of the track’s persistent risers and various reiterated elements heighten our senses as a thick bassline powers forward, seemingly unfazed by the organized chaos that surrounds it. Ultimately, Grimes’ eerily processed vocals elevate the production to earworm status.

The lyrics declare:

Money, Power, Beauty, Fame
Choose your weapon to beat the game
Money is power and art is fraud
And love is just a drug from God

“A Drug From God” is out now on Astralwerks & Black Book Records.

Skrillex, Bonobo, and Chris Lake play first-ever b2b2b at sold out Suwannee Hulaween

The sold-out eighth edition of Suwannee Hulaween brought more than 100 artists to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park last weekend, including heavy-hitting DJs like SkrillexBonobo, and Chris Lake.

All three iconic producer/DJs gave stellar individual performances on Friday night, then surprised revelers by playing their first-ever b2b2b set at the festival’s infamous after-hours stage, Incendia.

The impromptu star-studded trio effortlessly coalesced behind the booth, serving up a blistering cross-genre set and exploring wide swaths of electronic multiverses. Flanked by Incendia’s raging pyro flames and face-melting speakers, the historic b2b2b performance promises to go down in history as a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience.

Incendia is a mobile stage that hosts unique b2b after-hours performances at festivals like Okeechobee and Burning Man.

Anti Up Go Off with Massive, Party-Starting Single “Something’s About to Go Down” [LISTEN]

Chris Lorenzo and Chris Lake have consistently turned heads with their collaborative dance project Anti Up — and their latest release, “Something’s About to Go Down,” is no different.

Just imagine: Anti Up’s acid-laced, retro-fit stylings are a party and everyone is on the guest list. That’s the idea behind the project, which “Something’s About to Go Down” fully embraces. The song offers steady, pumping energy, striking synth work — and sheer madness will ensue whenever it’s played out.

Following up two massive 2021 releases, “Shake” and “Sensational,” the momentum behind the Anti Up project is strong as ever. In 2018, the duo burst onto the scene with “Pizza” and their Hey Pablo EP — and it’s been a nonstop party ever since.

Chris Lake’s Label Drops Inaugural Compilation, ‘Black Book IDs: Chapter 1’ [LISTEN]

Black Book Records’ first compilation EP, Black Book ID’s: Chapter 1 is here and it packs all the energetic tech house signature of a Chris Lake-led project.

Chris Lake joins forces with Italian producer Riva Starr and producer/vocalist lau.ra on the EP’s leading track, “Beat Freak.” Featuring a dynamic beat and acid-style lyrics, “Beat Freak” equates to a track that you can expect to hear in tech house sets everywhere in 2021.

“Trippin” by Dubesque is the second track on the EP, which manages to carry a repetitive beat without ever sounding boring. The single comes after a busy 2020 for Dubesque, which saw multiple EPs released.

The compilation also introduces us to a new producer, Fourword. “Snake Charmer” is the debut single by Fourword and has already broken into the Top 10 of the Beatport Top 100 Tech House chart, alongside Chris Lake’s “Beat Freak.”

The four-track EP closes with “Like I Don’t Exist – NightFunk Remix.” This snappy NightFunk tune breathes new life into the 2020 release by Nicky Night Time via Black Book Records. NightFunk improves on the bassline, adding new depth, and also downplays the vocal sampling of the original track.

Listen to the compilation — which we hope is the first of many — here.

Chris Lake & Chris Lorenzo Return as Anti Up with “Sensational” Track [LISTEN]

Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo are back at it with their first Anti Up single since 2019.

From the dynamic superduo that brought us “Pizza,” “Hey Pablo,” “Concentrate” and “Right Now” comes an eclectic hybrid of disco and breakbeat presented as “Sensational.” The production fulfills the release of a highly-anticipated ID and signals a forthcoming Anti Up LP.

Getting into the production, “Sensational” champions the sounds of early dance music with a groove so real you almost reach out and touch it. Lake and Lorenzo achieve an analog feel, quenching our dance thirsty souls with the kind of raw, throwback energy heard in the 80s/90s. The track drives home its title with full-bodied vocal chants that spell it out by name — and “Sensational” is here to stay.

With this release, Anti Up regenerate their movement and we’re beyond excited to hear where the project takes us next.

Listen to “Sensational” and let us know what you think!

[PREMIERE] Snyder Drops Intoxicating Deep House Single, “Petrified” ft. 51B

Snyder, hailing from Chicago, Illinois is a music producer and DJ that has recently blown up on the US Circuit. Sharing the stage with massive acts such as RL Grime, Gryffin, Shaq, Cheat Codes, and Chris Lake, Snyder has made a lasting impression with his high-octane performance energy and crowd-controlling sets.

Snyder is best known for his eclectic artistry; never sticking to one particular sound or genre. He always keeps us on the edge of our seat, excited to hear what he will deliver next, which is why I’m thrilled to premiere his new single and hypnotic visual video, “Petrified“, featuring 51B.

The song is flawless from start to finish, featuring a haunting, yet euphoric ambiance, reminiscent of SG Lewis’s earlier works. Snyder truly has his own flair, arranging a driving deep house track that can’t help but make you move your body while you listen. “Petrified” is a crossover gem that seamlessly intertwines just the right amount of electronic, pop, hip-hop and mainstream elements. From its contagious lyrics to intense build ups, the track is certain to leave a lasting impression.

The video adds a stimulating visual layer to the song. The visually appealing, rave-inspired “Petrified” visual enhances the song’s already exuberant qualities, making the song ever more enticing than playing it on its own. A neon-based, colorful explosion, the accompanying video for the uptempo, groovy track is nothing short of the perfect complement.

“Petrified” will be released world-wide Friday, April 17 but for now enjoy an exclusive opportunity to listen and watch the music video below!
