DJ 5 Day Forecast Announces Sophomore Single, “Baby I’m Good”

Getting your music to reach a wider audience and go viral is not easy in the highly-
competitive music scene. While the modern social media-driven industry has made it
easy for artists to release their music, this doesn’t create an opportunity for any song to
dominate the airwaves. Musicians still need to creatively tap into their authenticity to
release not only a classic hit but also a timeless tune that people can easily relate to.
This is the art executed by some musical legends, including Michael Jackson and
Whitney Houston, to mention a few.

Following the same path to musical glory is DJ 5 Day Forecast, a sensational producer,
songwriter, and DJ. Born and raised in Philadelphia, DJ 5 Day Forecast has grown to
become one of the top musical talents to watch out for in the industry. Music has been
part of DJ 5 Day Forecast’s life from childhood, and his dream is to rule the musical
waves. Learning from the best of the local and global scene, such as Cosmo Baker,
Royale, Sat One, and Rich Medina, the multi-genre producer has mastered his craft,
thrilling fans with his releases.

DJ 5 Day Forecast has become every partygoer’s favorite, thanks to his irresistible
charisma and undying love for the craft. Proving to be a cut above the rest, all his
releases have been hit after hit, and he is showing no signs of slowing down. His latest
sophomore single, “Baby I’m Good,” is a uniquely-crafted work of art and a clear
example of his capability. “Baby I’m Good” is a high-energy single with uptempo beats
that pumps up listeners with its danceable rhythm, not to forget the catchy hooks and
masterfully crafted layers.
DJ 5 Day Forecast’s debut track hit 50K streams across various platforms, and there is
no reason to think “Baby I’m Good” wouldn’t amass the same, if not more. The fantastic
summer vibes and infectious energy are a joy to listen to, helping DJ 5 Day Forecast
expand his brand of music while also alluring fans worldwide. According to DJ 5 Day

Forecast, the goal is to make all his releases streamed globally and for sure spread the
good vibes.
The versatile and ambitious producer is already hinting at plans to release a follow-up
project that will cement his position in the musical game. The producer is also working
on his debut EP, which he intends to drop in the coming months. He is also working on
a new track that samples Mya’s 2000 hit song “Case of the Ex (Whatcha Gonna Do).”
This is a unique and exciting project for DJ 5 Day Forecast as he aspires to work and
collaborate with other top musical talents.
To other young musicians, DJ 5 Day Forecast understands that the journey to success
isn’t easy, but there is always a way around every obstacle. He encourages everyone to
work hard and invest in their creativity and authenticity. Remember, the music scene is
crowded, and your originality will set you apart from the rest.

DJ and Producer Gino Gomez speaks on his incredible career and using his production and events company to help other artists.

The famed DJ Gino Gomez has spun decks and wowed audiences across the world over the past decade. He is renowned for his retro-mashups and electro-bouncing sound and for making original tracks in collaboration with Andrew, his brother. Here’s the low-down on this man’s incredible career and how he’s helping other budding artists.

Gino grew up like many other music professionals, surrounded by musical-loving parents with diverse tastes in music and cultural history. His father’s Afro-Cuban blend and enjoyment of the Beatles made for a rich sound and the counterpart was his mother’s taste for Madonna and other pop sensations of the 70s and 80s period. Gomez’s mashups and overall musical vibe are a reflection of his childhood, blending nostalgia with a post-modern take.

Gomez’s creativity has enabled him to work with a guitarist from Gypsy Kings fame and other celebrities producing live recordings. This is quite a feat for any musician to gain attraction from the largest names around, yet Gomez did this. Furthermore, you can expect that he has a host of names in his address book that may help support future artists.

Everything was going great until Gino was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His life was interrupted, and Gino had to seek treatment in New York City. After well over a year of battling cancer, Gino questioned what he was doing. He decided to create a production and events business at one decisive point. This would allow him to give back everything he learned from his peers and throughout his highly successful career. Today he helps other artists with producing, bookings, event management, touring, and planning. This company called ‘Hurry Up Slowly,’ named after a fun phrase during that period, now helps many aspiring stars reach the big time.

Starting up a business has not stopped Gino from performing or creating original content, though. At present, he’s touring the world, including; the US, UK, Spain, and Greece.

Stream Gino on all platforms everywhere, and be sure to see him Live at a venue near you!

The Phantom of the Opera Celebrates 35 Years On Broadway With Electrifying Remix Package

There are few plays quite as iconic as The Phantom of the Opera. It began its run on Broadway back in 1986, earning acclaim not only for the play, but also the music, composed from the brilliant mind of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats). It was clear to see that the show was so ahead of its time from the outset – a true pioneer of immersive theatre – with a continuing spirit of reinvention.

In this spirit, a plethora of producers were called upon to offer remixes to this legendary play. These remixes are a natural next step in that tradition, maintaining the title track’s classic and memorable essence while also finding new ways to give it fresh life. There’s plenty to choose from here spanning plenty of genres of electronic music, but some standouts for us include ABOUT THAT‘s dub, seamlessly blending house elements with opera with a result that feels so natural. ABOUT THAT’s remix was actually revealed by Andrew Lloyd Webber at a block party outside the Majestic Theatre in NYC to celebrate the reopening of Phantom on Broadway last year (after the Covid-related closure).

Japanese producer 2118 and legendary Spanish DJ Supermini collaborated on one version which features vocals from current West End (London) leads Killian Donnelly and Lucy St.Louis, that feels like a peak time anthem.

This remix package is one that deserves your time today, listen below!

Zedd tapped to DJ the Emmys, shows support to ‘Squid Game’ cast

Thanks in part to his popular edit of “Pink Soldiers” (from Squid Game) x “Do It To It,” Zedd was tapped to be the house DJ for the Emmys in Los Angeles last night at the Microsoft Theater, hosted by Kenan Thompson.

Responses to Zedd’s role last night, from Twitter, vary wildly from supportive of his career trajectory to questioning what he was doing there and how his bank account was looking. No matter how you slice it, Zedd was seen and heard in millions of households across the US, despite slipping viewership for popular awards shows across the board.

For his friends over at ‘Squid Game’ and Netflix, the program won two Emmys: Best Actor, Drama for Lee Jung-jae, the first person from a foreign language show to win the award; and Directing for a Drama Series, Hwang Dong-hyuk (“Red Light, Green Light”).

HUGE CONGRATS to my @squidgame fam!!
Big night!!! ♥️♥️♥️

Samantha XO is ranked Top 100 DJ in the World

You may know of Samantha XO for being ranked top 100 DJ in the world. In addition to this, her
looks are not hurting her. She was ranked number one sexiest DJ in the nation. But what really
makes Samantha XO truly unique is her desire and intention to empower women everywhere.
Fueled by this intention, she’s making a very unique move by creating an EDM remix for one of
the most empowering female records out there, “Big Energy” by Latto.

Samantha XO has been in the game as a DJ for almost a decade. When we asked Samantha
what keeps her going after all of these years, she said: “In my experience and opinion –
music is an escape from all of life’s problems. I have found that no matter what life throws at me,
music is the answer. It always makes me feel better, uplifts me and gives me life again. I have
found being involved with music in any way, shape or form, from DJ’ing, listening or producing
music is the absolute best medicine.” It now makes sense how she has kept going and pursuing
her dream after all these years.

Samantha might have clean cut luck, but her start in music was a bit more gritty, edgy, and
interesting. When we asked how she first got that initial spark, she gave us a story that made us
come alive, “I remember when I was in high school I was able to secure a fake ID and would
sneak out to the only underground gay club in my city. They were playing cutting edge electronic
music that you really couldn’t hear nowhere else at the time. The DJ was amazing there, I would
show up when they opened and stay until close, dancing the entire time non-stop. The freedom
of expression, the amazing electronic music and the incredibly open-minded people created
such an environment and atmosphere that is even hard to put into words to this day and was
simply otherworldly.” This kind of character building start in her music career is just what makes
her such a unique force in the industry today.

With how passionate Samantha is for her artistry and music in general, we can see her quickly
rising up the ranks to be collaborating with the likes of Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold and John Summit.
We envision her touring DJ’ing festivals around the world.

Elements Festival Announces New Location, Massive Lineup Ft. Kaskade, Rezz, Claptone, Sofi Tukker, Nicole Moudaber, Zeds Dead + More

Festival season is upon us and we can hardly contain our excitement to get out and start experiencing all of these events. Just announced today is Elements Music & Arts Festival’s 2022 lineup that is sure to have any festival goer ready to buy a ticket. Some of today’s brightest stars will be gracing the stages over the 3 day festival including Kaskade, who will be performing a special Redux set, Nicole Moudaber, TroyBoi, Seth Troxler, Rezz, Claptone, Sofi Tukker, The Knocks, J. Worra, Zeds Dead, and many more.

The lineup isn’t the only thing to notice. This year’s Elements is poised to flourish more than ever before by laying roots for the first time in the fields and forests of Long Pond Pennsylvania. This new site provides a built-in food, water, parking, car camping, and safety infrastructure, with a history of hosting events 5x the size of Elements, and a shorter drive to all major cities on the East Coast.

Talking with founders Brett Herman and Timothy Monkiewicz, they stressed that safety is one of their five essential pillars for Elements 2022. They’ve established a 5-point plan and roadmap for all to see, which you can view here. One key feature is that the new site is on solid ground with drainage designed to handle inclement weather. The 2022 staff has been hand-selected by a new board of advisors, who have over 25+ years of experience dealing with large gatherings, to meet the highest standard of event knowledge, guest hospitality, and crowd safety protocols. There will also  be more than double the options for food, water, bathrooms, medical, and wellness services to reduce wait times for all.

When asked about what they are most excited for this year, the guys say “the venue! It’s our biggest canvas yet, and the woodland areas are even more beautiful…we will be recreating and improving everything we love from the past few years and adding a massive amount of new features, art, and interactivity.” Another detail unique to this years event is Car Camping. Brett and Timothy add “with our larger site with onsite parking, shuttle buses are no longer necessary, so you can drive right up to where you’ll be camped.

One of the great things about Elements Music & Arts festival is that it’s so much more than just the music. They feature carefully curated Health and Wellness programming including yoga, aromatherapy, dance, comedy, sound baths, multidisciplinary workshops, and more. The 24-hour food court offers an array of healthy & organic local food sourced from Pocono Organics, including vegan & gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions, as well as water stations for guests to fill up their hydration pack or water bottles

To all of this year’s newcomers, Brett and Timothy say “welcome to the community! Elements is an extended family, and we welcome all. Also, go with the flow! We hear from many first timers that the unexpected was what they loved the most. If you miss a DJ set because you are having fun blowing bubbles in the forest with a performer dressed like a unicorn, don’t worry about it! We want to encourage all newcomers to make friends, seek new experiences, and have the time of their lives.

Tickets are now on sale here.

Digital Mirage Day 2 Is LIVE: San Holo, Boys Noize, Netsky & More [LIVE STREAM]

Yesterday’s Digital Mirage live stream was absolutely one for the books. As we mentioned before, the difference that two months make from the first iteration to now, especially in quality of scenery and creativity in the artists’ streams, is night and day.

Between Chet Porter, ZHU, Blanke, Deathpact, and more, the quality was on another level.

Today, we have another round of artists that are sure to make a statement. The first set comes from San Holo who is doing the “world’s first slow motion DJ set” — he recorded his set at double the speed and then slowed it down in post which created a terrifically trippy effect.

tomorrow im premiering worlds first slow motion DJ set! we recorded the set twice as fast and then we slowed it all down again! it feels like a trip! ILY! ↑% ↑% ↑% ↑% ↑%

First “COVID-Compliant” Rave Takes Place In The UK [WATCH]

The UK’s first “COVID-compliant” rave went down over the weekend in the Nottingham forest with regulations put in place to help keep dance fans safe.

According to reports, a socially distanced crowd was enforced at the open-air event. Face masks and hand sanitizer were handed out to all. DJ equipment was routinely disinfected and staff ensured that attendees kept appropriate distance while celebrating.

At one point, police crashed the party. However, after seeing everything was in order, they allowed the gathering to carry on as planned and received a round of applause.

One of the promoters revealed to Metro UK, “It went really well, the vibe was amazing. At the start I was paranoid it was going to get shut down. We had to make sure everything was above board, we had capacity for about 80 people.”

The event featured live sets from Latmun, Ben Sterling, Dafs and Sho. It was filmed as part of a documentary on live, socially distanced shows in the UK.

The best part? Party goers left no trace.

He writes, “black culture and influence play a big part in the music i make. the systematic racism and injustices that the black community face on a daily basis is something that no white person can relate to or begin to understand.”

“it is up to us to bring justice for George Floyd and the countless others who lost their lives and ultimately bring this hateful racist complex crumbling to the ground.”

Diplo Makes His Speaking-Role Movie Debut in ‘The High Note,’ Out Now

Diplo is taking quarantine quite well, by all metrics. On top of weekly (or even more frequent) live streams as well as his first country album out now, he’s also making his character debut in a new film out, The High Note.

The producer/DJ has made appearances in film before, most recently playing a small part as himself in the Detective Pikachu film. But this marks his first character and speaking role in a motion picture, playing record producer Richie ‘R. Dubs’ Williams.

“The character is a version of what I am; a way cheesier version,” explains the real-life producer, DJ and songwriter, in the production notes.

The High Note is the story of Grace Davis, played by Tracee Ellis Ross, “a superstar whose talent, and ego, have reached unbelievable heights.” Like many movies of its kind, the main conflict involves Davis’ manager who “presents her with a choice that could alter the course of her career, Maggie [her overworked assistant] and Grace come up with a plan that could change their lives forever.”

In an interview with ET!, Ellis Ross said of Diplo, “He’s so funny. I called him to show him the final film and he’s like, ‘How’s it going? You think I’m going to get an Oscar?’ And I said, ‘I don’t think so, Wes. I don’t think they give Oscars to comedies.’ And he was like, ‘Ahh, good point. All right, should we do a drama?’ And then he proceeded to pitch me a movie where he is Mozart and The Rock is Beethoven. And I was like, ‘And Kevin Hart could be Salieri!’ And he was like, ‘Who that?’ I was like, ‘Never mind.’”

You can watch the film on demand on streaming services now — check out a clip of Diplo’s performance below.

Terror Reid Unleashes ‘HOT VODKA’ Mixtape [LISTEN]

Terror Reid just put out his inaugural mixtape, HOT VODKA, and while we were expecting him to unleash his fury — it’s actually pretty chill.

Don’t get us wrong — lyrically, Terror Reid is as insane as ever. This may actually be the best display of his work yet. Not only does it showcase the producer/DJ/rapper’s indisputable talent and poetic abilities, but his well-rounded approach to music no matter the genre.

Terror’s signature and always crafty rhymes are front and center, with bold, booming beats reminiscent of the raw, old school hip hop we love and miss. Lighter tracks like “Kill the Rich” still manage to go hard, but counter the outwardly heavy, like “Outlawz.” In the end, we’re left fully satisfied and pleasantly surprised.

If you’re looking for champion sound design and word play, Terror Reid’s new mixtape is your best bet, featuring Pouya, ELIOZIE, and Bobby Raps. Whether you choose to blast the mixtape loudly or let it play out in the background, it’s sure to take your quarantine up a few notches.

Taking a fresh direction from his last track ‘Chameleon,’ which had several remixes, Seaver reflects on its development, saying: “I had a lot of fun with this record, working with different instruments and strange time signatures. Major Lazer just put out a remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage,” but there might be more on the way.

Carl Cox, Joseph Capriati Respond To Controversy Over Selling Mixes To Support Tour Managers

Yesterday, Carl Cox and a group of other high profile DJs were called out by trance DJ John Askew for asking fans to support their tour managers by purchasing mixes on Bandcamp.

“Out of desperation for income in these trying times the tour managers of some of worlds richest DJs launch a mix series to try and raise donations from the public to help keep themselves afloat while out of work,” Askew said. “And then the millionaires they work for have the audacity to beg and plead to the general public to get involved / donate give money I’m guessing so that they don’t have to themselves!!!??. What the actual fuck????????”

Now, Cox and Joseph Capriati have both responded to the controversy with messages of their own to attempt to clear up any misunderstandings.

“I have never seen anything blown so far out of proportion without context,” Cox said. “A group of the hardest working tour managers out there wanted to get creative and have some fun by getting together and seeing who could actually DJ. They asked me to support them as they support us touring DJ’s week after week throughout the year. All of us did that without too much thought or hesitation through our social media channels and gave them a mix from one of our shows.

“There was no suggestion ever made that this was to cover wages’ that is simply ridiculous and I feel saddened that this has even been suggested.”

Wow!!! It looks like the social media crazy train has gone into overdrive once again.I have never seen anything blown…

Posted by Carl Cox on Tuesday, May 5, 2020

“My dear friends out there, I want to explain and clarify to everyone why I am showing my face in a thing that is going crazy on social media and that has been definitely taken out of context,” Capriati said. “Our tour managers decided to record some DJ set as they normally doesn’t play. I have been asked from mine to support him which I of course agreed to without any questions as he is like my brother.”

He continued, “I’m well aware that there are people who don’t have the opportunity to eat and we are definitely more than lucky; For this reason, I include to this message the original and full video recorded for this initiative as in the one that the organization posted has only 2 seconds of it.

“As you will hear, there is no request for money or help: I’ve been working with my tour manager for almost 10 years and what unites us is great respect and trust. I have have never ever thought or hoped that this initiative was misinterpreted. This is the reality of facts, I wouldn’t ever do anything so wrong as many of you can imagine.”

My dear friends out there, I want to explain and clarify to everyone why I am showing my face in a thing that is going crazy on social media and that has been definitely taken out of context. Our tour managers decided to record some DJ set as they normally doesn’t play. I have been asked from mine to support him which I of course agreed to without any questions as he is like my brother. I want to apologise for my lack of attention in this and assure you that there was no intention of asking for the public to cover his wages. I I’ve always given him what he deserves and all the help needed especially in these critical times. We all look after our “family” and this is what he is for me. Honestly, I’ve just thought that it was a fun thing that the tour managers made in something they are passionate about.I’m well aware that there are people who don't have the opportunity to eat and we are definitely more than lucky; For this reason, I include to this message the original and full video recorded for this initiative as in the one that the organization posted has only 2 seconds of it. As you will hear, there is no request for money or help: I’ve been working with my tour manager for almost 10 years and what unites us is great respect and trust. I have have never ever thought or hoped that this initiative was misinterpreted. This is the reality of facts, I wouldnt ever do anything so wrong as many of you can imagine. Thanks for your understanding. much love! Your truly Joseph

Fans on Facebook seemed to be much more receptive to Capriati’s statement than Cox’s, with one commenting, “If it’s not to pay their wages then what is it for? Why would the public give them money if you’re supposedly paying them already so they’re not struggling are they? Surely if you want to charge for these mixes you should be encouraging people to donate to the health services or people more in need of it, not to line the pockets of people who clearly don’t need it.”

Marshmello Plays #PassTheBeat During Quarantine [WATCH]

The quarantine has forced the world to stay home, but that’s no problem for DJ/producers who thrive in the studio. More and more, we’re seeing creative ways in which artists connect online and collaborate during these unprecedented times.

Which brings us to Marshmello, who recently played “pass the beat” with fellow producers Benny Blanco, Tommy Brown, Boi1da, and Tainy. Each artist added their own flavor to the track before passing to the next.

Put it all together, and it’s a pretty fat beat — now who are they going to have rap on it?

Dillon Francis & Ryan Seacrest Bond Over Inspiring College Dropout Stories

Dillon Francis popped into On Air With Ryan Seacrest recently to just chat and check in with the famous radio DJ, and Seacrest came equipped with some interesting insight about Dillon’s college history. This also isn’t the first time Dillon has told this story.

“There were so many stupid things that I clung onto in life that were these little things about careers,” Dillon told Seacrest. “And my thing was like, ‘Hey, Mom and Dad, I know that European kids, they do a year abroad. How about I just go to Atlanta, work for my friend and see if anything happens from it?’”

“I was like I’m doing it, you can’t stop me,” he continued. “I had $500 to my name; I moved to Atlanta; I worked with my friend … and watched him for about three months and then I moved back to LA and told my parents, ‘Hey, I saw this guy A-Trak and he put 10,000 hours in; he stayed in his basement for a year just working on his craft. Let me do that at your house and if nothing happens, I’ll go back to community college.’

“They did this really cool thing actually — shoutout to my parents — they made me pay rent,” he added. “But the rent I was paying they gave back to me when I moved out so I could have that money.”

Of course, now, Dillon Francis is the massive superstar DJ that we know and love. But like so many others who have pursued this craft, he struggled for his knowledge and pushed his limits and eventually came through. His first major hit came in 2011 with “I.D.G.A.F.O.S.,” around five or so years after he dropped out. By that point though, he’d already collaborated with Diplo on his Westside! EP, and was already on his way to becoming a household name.

Quintino Teams Up With Richie Loop For Massive Festival Banger “Manimal”

Quintino is one of the most reliable producers in the game for cranking out festival bangers, his latest track “Manimal” with Richie Loop is no exception. Fresh off a string of releases with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and the psy-trance track “The Drill”, the Dutch producer/DJ keeps the big room vibes going while adding a touch of Jaimaican flair with vocals from Richie Loop. “Manimal” also marks Quintino’s return to Dim Mak, his last track on the label was two years ago when he teamed up with Dim Mak head honcho Steve Aoki for “Mayhem.”

The track opens with some trap horns and a marching drumbeat. The Richie Loop vocals add some island vibes, and the urgency of his vocals let you know that you’re going to be in for a ride! From there the drop is just massive horns and kick drums with some vocal chops added in for good measure. We may not be able to go to festivals, but “Manimal” is one of the few tracks that’s able to tap into that main stage vibe and get you bouncing up and down. Just like at your favorite festival.

Listen to the latest from Quintino, “Manimal” out now on Dim Mak. Make sure to check out his special “Quarantino Weekend” live stream set too!

Jauz Unleashes ‘First Bites Vol. 2’ Featuring Saint Punk, Kendoll & More

As an established DJ/producer and label head, Jauz has instinctively transitioned into a tastemaker role — and there’s plenty of artists he’s putting on right now.

The brand new First Bites Vol. 2 compilation dropped today, featuring music from Duke & Jones, Blossom, Schade, SLATIN and more. Plus, our two personal favorite tracks from Kendoll and Saint Punk x So Loki.

House heads will especially enjoy the selection, which covers tech house, speed house, electro, and elements of acid and techno. But, tracks from Blood on Guitars and Synymata x BAER keep things interesting.

Some names you have probably heard and others may be brand new — and that’s the beauty of the latest release from Bite This! Listen as these artists test the waters with their sounds.
