Moore Kismet Releases Their Next Album Single, & Final Single Of The Year, “Call Of The Unicorn” w/ Tasha Baxter

It’s been a stellar year for young prodigy Moore Kismet. Becoming the youngest-ever to perform at both Lollapalooza and EDC Las Vegas, not to mention how many other events they’ve played where the same could likely be said, they’ve also put out a huge assortment of singles throughout the year. This includes “Rumor” with WYN, “Vendetta For Cupid” with TYGKO, and a bucket list remix for Tate McRae.

Now, nearing the end of the year, their final single of 2021 has dropped, “Call Of The Unicorn” with Tasha Baxter. It’s also the next single from their long-anticipated debut album.

“‘Call of the Unicorn’ originally started out as a sound design experimentation session, but ended up becoming something so much bigger. When I started flushing out the full arrangement, I realize that I wanted this song to have an anthemic feel. Not too much going on, but still enough to draw a listener into the song,” Moore Kismet explains. “Tasha Baxter is a songwriter and vocalist that I have admired since I was a little kid. When we first met, the only thing we can talk about is how much music meant to us. I sent her the original demo of COTU, and within days, she came back to me with a vocal cut. We want people to feel powerful, beautiful, and strong when they listen to this song. It’s how it makes us feel, and we hope that message spreads to everyone who hears it.”

The release comes with an official lyric video out on Proximity. Check it out below and stay tuned for next year when UNIVERSE finally releases!

Moore Kismet Drops The Latest Single From Their Album, “Flourish” with laxcity [LISTEN]

Bass music prodigy Moore Kismet never ceases to impress with their forward-thinking style, and the project’s latest release is a team up with laxcity boasting a wave of feel-good energy and boundless creativity.

Glitchy and lush sounds rule the production, which is a divine playground of emotion and thoughtful sound design. The largely instrumental track is backed by light vocal chops, layers of synths to fill the atmosphere, and two drastically different drops of unique formations.

Moore Kismet shares of the release:

Josh (laxcity) and I have been close friends for almost 3 years, and one thing I’ve always loved about his music even before we met was his innate ability to create such beautiful tracks that withheld such striking atmospherics and melodies that stuck with you. with “Flourish,” we wanted to collaboratively expand on that and take you to a completely different side of our production styles. we want to show the everlasting growth of our friendship and artistry.

And recently speaking on their forthcoming album:

…every song on this album truly is such a beautiful representation of how much I’ve grown as an artist and as a person.

The single follows up “Autonomy,” “Vendetta for Cupid,” and “Rumor,” all of which are expected on the producer’s highly anticipated debut.

Listen to “Flourish” here and let your ears thank you for its beautiful intention.

GRiZ Brings Attention to Black Lives Matter Movement with Powerful Digital Mirage Set

GRiZ is a shining example of using one’s platform for good — and he brought attention to the Black Lives Matter movement with his Digital Mirage set over the weekend.

The DJ/producer recently joined in Denver’s peaceful protests and documented the entire thing. Matched with a specially curated live set, the footage from the protest made a real statement — the EDM community stands in solidarity with Black Lives Matter.

GRiZ @ Digital Mirage 2

GRiZ thanked organizers for the creative freedom and for leading a moment of silence for George Floyd:

Huge thank you to @ProximityM + @TeamBandL for the 8:46 of silence to pay respects to George Floyd. During a time of so much noise, the uncomfortable silence can sometimes speak louder than anything

The setlist featured music from exclusively black artists including N.W.A, 2Pac, TroyBoi, Mr. Carmack, Moore Kismet, Honey Dijon, Gene Farris, Channel Tres and more as GRiZ took to the streets.

We’re expecting an official upload soon — but in the meantime, listen to the set above and read some of the comments below.

griz was originally gonna do his digital mirage set from his kitchen, but decided to do something brand new in light of recent events.

so he decided to hit a Denver black lives matter protest and do a custom set.

thank u @griz this is amazing

[PREMIERE] Moore Kismet Releases New Single “Flair,” Dedicated To & Featuring Their Mother

Moore Kismet is one of the most promising young artists putting music out right now. At just 15 years old, they’ve already begun to leave their mark on the electronic music community, and with every release, we see more and more what they are capable of.

Ahead of their newest EP coming out on Never Say Die, today they’re out with his new song “Flair,” dedicated to and featuring their mother. As a writer, I’m often afforded unique perspectives on the artists I write about, and I’m honored to say that I’ve spent time with both Moore Kismet and their mother. The love they share for each other is entirely undeniable, and a song dedicated to her was really only a matter of time.

Different than many of Moore’s past, harder singles, “Flair” is beautifully restrained and more melody-focused. Momma Kismet, who now has her own Spotify artist page, provides the vocal chops that Moore utilizes in the track. It’s dreamy and subtle, while still being powerful and meaningful.

Check out “Flair” below, out now on Never Say Die.
