NGHTMRE Reveals Debut Album Is Finally Coming Together

NGHTMRE has put out so many bangers it’s hard to believe he has yet to unleash his debut album — but it’s well in the works.

In 2020 alone, NGHTMRE has unleashed some massive collaborations, “Feeling Gud” with Slander, “Wrist” featuring Tory Lanez, and “Nuclear Bass Face” with Subtronics featuring Boogie T. He has teamed up with everyone from ZHU to Shaq, ASAP Ferg to The Chainsmokers, and many more.

Now, it’s time for him to share his full artistic vision in the form of his first album. He promises what he’s writing is “special” and “all the pieces are starting to finally come together.”

Although there’s still lots of work to be done, NGHTMRE says he’s “absurdly excited to share” the album.

Read on below and explore recent NGHTMRE releases here.

NGHTMRE Album In The Works

This album I’m writing is really going to be special. All the pieces are starting to finally come together and I have a more clear vision of what it’s going to look like. It will tell a story that we can all relate too and every song will flow from one to another seamlessly.

— NGHTMRE (@NGHTMRE) June 25, 2020

Needless to say I’m absurdly excited to share. Still LOTS of work to be done though. Looking forward to releasing a cohesive piece of art that represents nghtmre the way I’ve always imagined it.

NGHTMRE, Subtronics, & Boogie T Drop New Collaboration, “Nuclear Bass Face”

NGHTMRE, Subtronics, & Boogie T have teamed up for a collaboration of nuclear proportions, putting out their new song “Nuclear Bass Face” today. As we wrote when the trio previewed the song earlier this week, it has a little bit of everyone in it.

“Boogie T’s quasi-reggae style vocal and build, with Subtronics’ out of this world bass design and NGHTMRE’s hard hitting production all roll up into one brilliant package on this one.”

This will no doubt be a crowd favorite at festivals and shows once we get back to doing that sort of thing. Check out the new track below!

Digital Mirage Announces Second Festival With Boys Noize, Hatsune Miku, Subtronics & More

Following the enormous success of the first Digital Mirage Festival, LA-based independent electronic music brands Proximity and Brownies & Lemonade today announced their return to the virtual festival community with Digital Mirage 2, slated to take place June 5-7, 2020.

Over the span of three days in April, Digital Mirage made its mark as one of the first major live-streamed music festivals, drawing in over one million attendees across the weekend. The event raised over $300,000 to benefit Sweet Musicians Relief Fund, a charity committed to supporting musicians and music industry professionals whose primary income source has been severely affected due to the effects of Covid-19. Audience members were graced with fifty performances from artists like Alison Wonderland, SOFI TUKKER, Valentino Khan, TOKiMONSTA, Louis the Child, Chet Porter, Mija, Ghastly, Keys N Krates and more.

As part of the new June event, streamers that tune in can once again expect a heavy hitting lineup with artists and producers representing all walks of the electronic music industry. Performances will include a live loop set from turntablist extraordinaire A-Trak, bass legend Baauer, hard-edged label boss Boys Noize, electro-pop selector Elohim, saxophone wielding GRiZ and a Redux set from renowned house veteran Kaskade. Further streams will be provided by leading Aussie export and Beats1 broadcaster Anna Lunoe, GUD VIBRATIONS leader NGHTMRE, a unique Concertgebouw Set from Oliver Heldens, pristine future bass from San Holo, melodic mastery by SG Lewis, genre blending by Two Feet, a singular set from electronic powerhouse ZHU, and dramatic alt-pop from breakout star EVAN GIIA amongst many others.

100% of the proceeds from Digital Mirage 2 will be donated to Plus1’s Fund for COVID-19 relief and artists performing the festival. The festival, completely free of charge, generates funds through participant donations, sponsorships, and a 50/50 artist revenue split of the donations raised. This model gives artists the freedom to allocate their funds as they deem fit, whether they donate it further to another charity, or split it amongst their team.

Insomniac Reveals Lineup For EDC Las Vegas Virtual Rave-A-Thon

It’s been a couple weeks since the last Virtual Rave-A-Thon from Insomniac, and that’s because they’ve been prepping for the massive EDC Las Vegas-theme event this weekend. First announced a little over two weeks ago, the lineup has just been revealed — and it’s a doozy.

EDC Las Vegas’s live stream lineup looks a lot like the real thing, except obviously much fewer artists. However, many have already played one or more Virtual Rave-A-Thon in March and April, including 12th Planet, Borgore, Flosstradamus, i_o, JSTJR, k?d, SVDDEN DEATH, and more. Others will be new to the virtual rave-a-thon world, like David Guetta, Don Diablo, Sidepiece, Seven Lions, Vini Vici, Oliver Heldens, and a special NGHTMRE b2b Ghastly set.

The EDC Las Vegas Virtual Rave-A-Thon also marks the debut of a special initiative to help fans stay positively focused on a future where we can all reunite on the dancefloor. To show gratitude to the dance music community, Insomniac has partnered with charitable organization In Place of War to promote Rave Recovery, a relief fund created specifically for dance music fans impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis.

“Looking out for one another and giving back have been cornerstones of rave culture since people first set foot on the dancefloor,” says Rotella. “With so many people experiencing hardships brought on by COVID-19, those principles are more important than ever. Even though we’re isolated, no one should feel alone. Rave Recovery was created to support fans within our dance music community who need assistance—and hopefully inspire others to reach out, connect, and give back.”

The live stream experience begins this Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17, from 5pm-2am each day. Individual day set times will follow soon. See you under the virtual sky!

NGHTMRE Drops Collabs with Subtronics x Boogie T, SVDDEN DEATH, Zeds Dead & Big Gigantic

Right now, the only thing better than a live stream set is a live stream set with unreleased IDs — and NGHTMRE knows it best!

The producer joined Twitch over the weekend and took his quarantine performance to the next level by dropping not one but four unreleased collaborations. Fans were treated to his high profile collabs with Subtronics x Boogie T, SVDDEN DEATH, Zeds Dead and Big Gigantic.

Unfortunately the full set isn’t available online — but there are plenty of clips to watch here.

In addition, NGHTMRE teased the new music via tweet:

I PLAYED 4 UNRELEASED COLLABS ON TWITCH LAST NIGHT! WHICH WAS YOUR FAVORITE?!?

1. @Subtronics x @boogietmusic
2. @svddendeathdub
3. @zedsdead
4. @BigGigantic

— NGHTMRE (@NGHTMRE) April 11, 2020

For those who caught the stream, which was your favorite?

We’re going to go with “all of them.”

Rezz & Grabbitz Release New Rock-Hybrid Collaboration, “Someone Else”

Out today is Rezz’s second new track of 2020, a massive collaboration with multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/producer Grabbitz, “Someone Else.” Combining Grabbitz’ rock elements with Rezz’s midtempo inclinations, the song is a brilliant mixture of styles that complement each other with grace and intensity.

Rezz took to Instagram Live on Tuesday, April 7th to answer fan questions ahead of the release of the new single. She discussed her sonic evolution as an artist and was joined by surprise guest Madeon for a spontaneous chat about the creative process under quarantine.

As for Grabbitz, he revealed in a new interview with For The Wolves that he has even more collaborations coming out with some really “dope” artists — as we’ve seen from his discography, whenever he teams up with someone (NGHTMRE, Rezz, 3LAU, Sullivan King), the results are stellar.

This is her first track on RCA Records, her first major label release, as RCA is a division of Sony.

Check out “Someone Else” below!
