Popcaan Pulls Out Red Bull Culture Clash Due To Visa Issues

Popcaan will not be performing at this weekend’s Red Bull Culture Clash in Atlanta due to visa issues.

The dancehall deejay was on the lineup with his Unruly crew going up against other acts like WondaGurl, Tinie Tempah, and Mike WiLL Made-It. The “Unruly Boss” deejay issued a statement late Friday announcing that he will not be in Atlanta as previously announced due to problem with his travel documents. We’re told that he did not get his US visa and work permit in time for the show.

“It is with deep regret that we have to announce that Popcaan is unable to participate with Unruly at this year’s Red Bull Culture Clash in Atlanta,” the statement reads. “Due to circumstances out of our control and despite everyone’s best efforts, travel documents were unable to be processed in time for the clash. We prepared rigorously as a team for this event and were prepared for a serious clash with Popcaan as the team leader. We are fully aware without the presence of Unruly’s boss Popcaan things will be vastly different; but we are UNRULY and are 100% dedicated to representing for our culture, our country, Popcaan and Red Bull.”

Popcaan also thank his fans for their support and let them know that he will put on a special performance for them when he gets his travel document situation resolve.

Popcaan Gets Visa To Appear At Red Bull Culture Clash In August In Atlanta

Popcaan will be on U.S. soil in August for Red Bull Culture clash in Atlanta after getting back his visa.

For a while now there have been rumors that the Unruly Boss got back his visa, but was never confirmed by the deejay. Popcaan fans will be happy to see him in Atlanta on August 25 at 787 Windsor following his impressive performance at the London Culture Clash last year. Popcaan represented Mixpak who won the competition.

Hip hop has been slowly making its way into the Culture Clash scene but so far dancehall has had the upper hand. Atlanta’s own Mike WiLL-Made-It and Eardrummers will be on this year’s Culture Clash, as well as, Disturbing London featuring Tinie Tempah, Enjoylife featuring Wondagurl and of course dancehall’s own Unruly featuring Popcaan. It will be interesting to see who will make up Popcaan’s Unruly clique, perhaps he will bring along Drake and his main producer NotNice.

Popcaan famously played a dub from Drake’s mega hit “One Dance” at the 2016 Red Bull Culture Clash in London and that was a key part of Mixpak victory, so you know the dancehall superstar will be bringing some heat.

Tinie Tempah – Chasing Flies lyrics

I make hits, not the public. I tell the DJ what to play. Understand?
We is the original of our time
We is the original of our time
I make hits, not the public. I tell the DJ what to play. Understand?

Ba ba black sheep, rock star, rap G
Make enough dough to own a black car, that’s speed
I been gettin’ blow, fuckin’ friendly with the banks, man
And I don’t mean Phil Carter, Hillary or Astley
Packs see me up in the vicinity and flash me
I’m the definition of definitive and catchy
The only thing that’s bigger, quicker, slicker
More black and more upper London is a taxi
Bitch, I’m so sick I need a motherfuckin’ vacine
Pinky ring shine like so motherfuckin’ vastly
Center of attention like a bank anthem, lost ’em
HDB, reachin’ for a flat screen
The only other time I see you niggas on kisses
Is like 2AM or when you go to fuck her up
Look, 60 m4, baby, need to buckle up
All my wheelers so zoo, all my wheelers go nuts, yeah

Don’t say that I didn’t ever warn ya
Swear down, I told ya
We is the original of our time
Don’t cross the line
Don’t make me have to show ya
Don’t say that I didn’t ever warn ya
Stop lyin’, I saw ya
We is the original of our time
Don’t cross the line
Don’t make me have to show ya

So raw and uncut, no fuckin’ edit
So won’t even get her hype, she made no fuckin’ effort
And all you silly singers and you ringtone rappers
Like school dinner currys, don’t fuckin’ get it
My car is unleaded, yard ripper terrace
She call me chauvinistic, bet she can’t even spell it
I don’t wanna hear another nigga say you fly
If you ain’t never been on business class on the Emirates
I’m a racket, I’m tennis, I’m Dennis, I’m a menace
Call me Robert Pattinson, I got a lot of niggas jealous
Out my mental, minted like [?]
That’s tic tic tic tic, boom to you fellas
Some boy, nigga, Martin Margiela
Ain’t littin’ if her name ain’t Remy or Stella
Got a big back of tricks, Mary Poppins umbrella
‘Cause ’bout to rain on them like London weather, yeah

[Hook: Tinie Tempah & Nea]
Don’t say that I didn’t ever warn ya
Swear down, I told ya
We is the original of our time
Don’t cross the line
Don’t make me have to show ya
Don’t say that I didn’t ever warn ya
Stop lyin’, I saw ya
We is the original of our time
Don’t cross the line
Don’t make me have to show ya
