Vybz Kartel is far from being done dropping new music. The aced dancehall star will be dropping a new song “All Aboard” this Friday.

Kartel has been dropping around two songs a week since around the end of August and he is showing no signs of slowing down. Our Gaza sources told us that a major project is on the way but in the meantime, fans can enjoy a regular supply of new singles. “We are working on a big project, some big, much bigger than any previous album Worl’Boss release,” sources said. “Look out for a new banger this Friday on premiere on Irie FM.”

The incarcerated deejay also announced the new single “All Aboard” on his Instagram page. The track was produced by TJ Records, who is also the producer behind his new project. The track will be premiered by DJ Wayne on Irie FM on Friday afternoon. “LISTEN NOW.. Alkaline Vs Vybz Kartel: Who Is The Real “1 Don” ?

Alkaline and Vybz Kartel are the two top rivals in dancehall currently and lately they are both fighting over the “1 Don” moniker.

Over the past few years, Alkaline has called himself other monikers like Young Lawd and Torch, while Vybz Kartel called himself The Teacher and Worl’Boss. Now both deejays are referring to themselves as the 1 Don of dancehall. The term one done means that you are the top artist in the genre currently and fans of both sides will say that their artist is the leading act.

Vybz Kartel released a new single “Don’t Come Back” last week where he deejays about being the only one done in dancehall. “One don one don that’s me / Kartel, Worl’ Boss or Teach / Run street whether black or bleach / Or if me say be my first G / Me stop tell girls ’bout faithful / ‘Cause they will do what they want / But since we broke up, I’m so strong,” Kartel deejay. The last two lines are believed to be a shot at his baby mama.

Alkaline then posted a photo of himself in the studio on Instagram over the weekend which he captioned “1 Don.”

Since the start of the year, both Alkaline and Vybz Kartel have released diss tracks against each other but not on the level of the Gully/Gaza feud of the mid-2000s. Kartel’s camp has also been very vocal about Alkaline imitating some of the deejay’s style and using shock-value to gain more notoriety like skin bleaching, controversial lyrics, and the infamous eyeball tattoo which turns out to be fake.

Since breaking onto the scene in 2013, Alkaline has made a name for himself in dancehall with a vast catalog of hit songs. Although his musical catalog is nowhere near as large of Vybz Kartel’s, Alkaline name often arrives in conversation with other top dancehall acts like Vybz Kartel, Mavado, and Popcaan.

NotNice Talks Vybz Kartel, Popcaan and New Alkaline Diss Track

NotNice has a lot to say about Vybz Kartel and Popcaan, as well as, his new artists recording a new Alkaline diss track.

NotNice was close friends with Vybz Kartel at one point but since their fallout in 2011, the two have not spoken to each other. The producer even said in an interview in 2014 that he will never forgive Kartel for sending his goons to take away his engineering equipment from his home studio. Speaking with Anthony Miller of ER, NotNice briefly spoke about his life after the Worl’Boss.

“It’s not like it didn’t work out with Kartel, you know Kartel have him ways and it just happened and then him end up where him ended up (prison),” NotNice said. When asked about the seized equipment he said he has more now. NotNice later produced hit songs for Alkaline before aligning himself with Popcaan whom he produced a number of hits for in recent years. According to the producer, Alkaline was the one who diss Popcaan but the Unruly boss chose to not respond. Now NotNice has a new artist, JaFrass, who is voicing an Alkaline diss record.

“JaFrass just decide that he is going to defend it,” the producer said. NotNice also spoke about critics saying that he has lost his touch.

Vybz Kartel Drops Two New Singles and Disses Alkaline Again

Vybz Kartel unleashed two new singles on dancehall airwaves in one day and they are both fire. On one of the singles, he once again disses Alkaline.

On Wednesday, the incarcerated deejay drop a solo single “So Easy” and another collaboration with Ishawna “How Can You.” Both singles have been getting raved reviews from Kartel’s massive dancehall fan base. “Song ya is pure fire big up Worl’Boss the GOAT, so easy,” one fan wrote on DHH IG page.

Kartel is also getting some attention for a line on the single “So Easy” where he disses dancehall artists who are copying his style. “Every man in a me style a so the p**** them stay,” Kartel deejay. Some Gazanation fans are already pointing fingers to Alkaline being the artist that Vybz Kartel is referring to. While the “Dancehall Hero” deejay didn’t call any names, Alkaline has been getting scrutinized for what some people say is a blatant rip off of Kartel’s image and style.

“Alka a live in a Addi style from day one,” sources inside the Gaza told DHH. “A Kartel style buss him and a it get him to where he is right now. At this moment he should just come out and admit that Kartel is his idol. His friend Kasanova already said it and I think he should just come out and say it.”

Vybz Kartel Fans Begging Deejay For More New Music

Vybz Kartel fans are begging the incarcerated deejay to release more new music.

It’s been two months since Vybz Kartel released a new single and Gaza fans are hungry for more new music already. Over the last few years, the Worl’Boss was releasing one and sometimes two or three new singles every week, but these days fans are getting new music at most one or two every other month. His fans are now feeling like the slow supply of new music is diminishing his presence while his rivals like Alkaline and Mavado are dominating the genre.

“When we going to get some new music from Worl’Boss?” one Gaza fan asked on IG. Dancehall HipHop reached out to our sources inside the Gaza camp who told us that the incarcerated deejay is retaining more control over his music and that is why we are seeing a slow down of releases. “Addi (Vybz Kartel) now has more control over his unreleased catalog so the entire team vet carefully whats release and what don’t,” sources said. “A lot of the new music that was released are from producers that Addi voiced for so we don’t have much control over when those producers chooses to release those music. But going forward it’s quality over quantity.”

Despite the slow release from Vybz Kartel, the incarcerated deejay scored his second Billboard hit single with “Fever” climbing the charts and a few other singles in heavy rotation. Vybz Kartel has also been releasing a number of collaborative singles like “Loodi” with Shenseea and “Chance” with Sean Kingston.

Vybz Kartel Fans Want Deejay On Next Sumfest Lineup With Alkaline & Mavado

Following a successful staging of the 2017 Reggae Sumfest, Vybz Kartel fans are pleading for the deejay to be released so he can be on next year’s lineup.

Some fans on Twitter think that Vybz Kartel could have done a better job than Alkaline and Mavado who both received high marks for their sets on Dancehall Night on Friday. Both Alka and Vado delivered well-received sets at Sumfest this year with some fans calling Mavado performance the best on that night.

“Worl’Boss would have done a better job and Sumfest would have made a whole lot more money if he was on the lineup,” one fan said on Twitter, while another added, “Hope them free Kartel in time for next year lineup. Am in Canada and I would book my ticket same time to see the Gaza boss perform.”

The last time Vybz Kartel graced the Reggae Sumfest stage was in 2011, a few months before his arrest in Kingston. Although he has been incarcerated since then, he has remained a relevant dancehall artist thanks to a regular supply of new music coming from his camp.

Chronixx Says Vybz Kartel “Did A Lot Less Than He Could”

Chronixx is weighing in on his feelings towards Vybz Kartel telling his fans that the incarcerated deejay did “a lot less than he could.”

The reggae singer released his highly anticipated new album Chronology last weekend and the wait was worth it. To celebrate the release, Chronixx took part in a lengthy Instagram Live sessions last weekend where he spoke about a handful of artists he would collaborate with. One of the takeaways from the IG Live session was his thoughts about Vybz Kartel and this is what he had to say.

“Big up Worl’Boss you done know that the worst thing you can do is fight another artist, that is the most degrading thing,” Chronixx said. “You can talk the truth and you can say what you like and dislike but don’t fight the artist. Vybz Kartel is a very devote artist in my opinion he did a lot less than he could and let me not put too much pressure on the man but you done know, great artist of our time. He is a man who fully dedicates himself to being an artist so big up all the Gaza people them in the house. We a say Kartel long before Gaza because a Spanish Town we come from and anybody who a talk bout Kartel we a say Kartel from even before Portmore Empire.”

Chronixx raised a few eyebrows when he revealed during his IG Live session that he would not collaborate with Alkaline although he is a fan of some of his music. The “Chronology” singer previously get some heat for some past statements about Vybz Kartel calling him a cannibal, but this time he was careful not to anger the massive Gazanation fan base. Do you think that Chronixx and Vybz Kartel should collaborate on new music? Sound off in comments below.
